Massage Therapy is the use of manual manipulation of soft body tissues to enhance your health and well-being. At Floating Lotus, we offer different massage techniques, or modalities, that help with healing and relaxation.

Swedish Massage

Melt away your tension in just one hour.

Swedish Massage increases oxygen flow in the blood and releases toxins from the muscles.

Additional benefits include shortened recovery time from overexertion of muscles, increased circulation, stretching of ligaments and tendons, skin stimulation, and soothing of the nervous system. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested as part of a regular program for stress management.

Deep tissue

Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve pain and muscle tension throughout the body.

This type of massage is extremely beneficial because it touches the deepest layer of muscles, the fascia (connective tissue surrounding the joints) and the tendons.

The goal of deep tissue massage is to break down adhesions (tense areas within the muscle). Adhesions in the muscle are very important to address because they cause pain, inflammation and limit motion of the muscles and joints. Regular deep tissue massage is key to maintained ongoing tissue health and clarity.

Hara Massage

The Hara is the center of movement and creativity, the source of vital energy present in the belly. In the ancient traditions of Japan, the Hara is referred to as the Source of Life. Here we can find physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance.

Hara Healing offers a way to connect with this source of strength and silence within. Through conscious touch and energy work, body and mind are cleared of whatever is inhibiting the being from reaching this natural source of life energy.

Hara Healing sessions are unique for each individual and are applied in combination with Ayurveda, shiatsu, and reiki, supporting the client to bring awareness to the body, emotions and mind, and to reconnect with the essential qualities of trust and presence.

The ultimate aim of developing an aligned Hara is to move through life with greater ease, effortlessness, and joy, to live in a state of flow and balance. Hara is our life source and spiritual umbilicus, and through its cultivation comes mastery, strength, wisdom, and tranquility.
